Language Learning Mom – A mom sharing her language learning experiences

Meter is mother

Meter is Greek for mother.  It is found 83 times in the New Testament according to Strong’s.  In Latin mother is mater, which is where maternal and maternity come from.  There is the most famous mother: Mary the mother of Jesus.  Other mothers include Elizabeth, Salome, Eunice, and some unnamed mothers.

***I started this post for Mother’s Day, but got sidetracked.  So, here I am weeks later.  I believe that this will be my last post for 3-4 months, as I am expecting my third child within the next 2 days.  Life will be busy.  Maybe yours will too, especially as it is summer. ***

If you’re a mom with kids at home, then life is busy all the time.  Kids always need their mom.  The younger they are the more true this is.  You try to train your kids the best that you can, but you don’t always feel like you quite get through to them.  Trusting God with their lives is a very important step, because you can’t be there all the time.  God will see them through many experiences that you may never even know about.  Sometimes all you can do is pray and trust.
