Waiting for You

You may laugh at me

Turn your back on me

But when you seek my face

I will run to you.

Though you walk away

Try to make your way

When you turn to me

I will run to you

Though you are tempted

and you accept it

Return to me

I will run to you

You may seek fame

Wish for lots of gain

When you give it up

I will run to you

You have made mistakes

And you need a break

Put your trust in me

I will run to you

You’ve tried everything

Worked and worked and worked

Just drop it all

I will run to you

When you cannot walk

And you are feeling lost

Just call my name

I will run to you

You think you’ve gone too far

You’re beyond my reach

Open the door

I will run to you

You may be afraid

And you cannot move

Ask me for some help

I will run to you

I will heal your wounds

I will fill you up

I will give you new life

I’m here waiting for you

Beautiful imagery. I can imagine the Lord coming to us with open arms… He’s just waiting for us!
