Faithful

After the storms rage,

The sky is bleak,

The sun doesn’t shine,

Will you find us faithful?

After our eyes fail,

Our ears fail,

Our health fails,

Will you find us faithful?

When no one cares,

And no one dares,

We resist the stares,

Will you find us faithful?

When our hearts break,

Our bodies ache,

We’ve had all we can take,

Will you find us faithful?

If relief never comes,

We run and run,

To see it all unspun,

Will you find us faithful?

After the day has gone,

No more time is left,

All is said and done,

Will you find me faithful?
